Life is defined by choices. Our thoughts and actions shape us. Character is forged and defined by the path taken.
Evidence of this truth is easily observed. Attitude is everything. An optimistic person will take chances and try new things. They are not bound by the status quo. Hope and faith push them to explore new paths. A pessimistic person is held down by fear and anger. They lack the will or strength to fight for their dreams.
Which side of this coin defines you?
My latest poem explores how choices determine our path.
A fork in the road. Why not a spoon? Every choice breeds yet another choice. A simple compass points due north. Blustery winds buffet due south. One smooth path flat and broad. One jagged path steep and narrow. Mind and body argue for familiar places. Heart and soul crave unique destinations. Endless walking. Unchanged scenery. Drowning in questions. Seeking true answers.

This is lovely, John, (it halfway makes up for scaring the hell out of me yesterday)
Keep going. ❤️🔥
Evocative!
