When the calendar turned to June, I planned to celebrate Friday the 13th by treating subscribers of this newsletter to a new, original horror story. Those plans fell by the wayside when I moved to a new house this month. Between packing and unpacking — amid releasing Feral Lands, the new Samak Press horror anthology — whatever time I would have devoted to writing the story slipped from my grasp. The story is only half-finished, and it wouldn’t work to email you all an incomplete story.
What I’ve decided to do instead, is open the Strange New Worlds archives through this weekend and share a few favorite horror stories with you. Many subscribers signed up for this newsletter long after I first published these stories. You may have read a few. Others will be new to you.
