April will mark exactly five years since In Hell’s Shadow debuted on Amazon. It bears a special distinction as my first published short story. I wrote the first draft of this ghost tale set in Deer Falls after suffering a serious car accident in Houston, Texas back in 1999. The accident left my car mangled, although I walked away without a scratch.
In Hell’s Shadow represented my lone Kindle Unlimited offering. KU readers greeted my story with indifference, convincing me to release the story wide and release all my other published works outside the Amazon ecosystem. At times, In Hell’s Shadow is a forgotten story. It is silently drifting and lurking among my novels and novellas.
I want to reintroduce this story to the spotlight. To that end, I will serialize In Hell’s Shadow in multiple weekly episodes in March and April here in this newsletter and on my official Patreon page.
The first episode will debut on March 10th. Subsequent episodes will be posted each Monday thereafter until the story reaches its conclusion.
