Curiosity is the spark lighting the fire of knowledge. Our drive to learn and acquire knowledge sets humanity apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. Of course, pursuing knowledge can also lead off into many strange paths intersecting with the road we call life.
Do you ever seek an answer to a specific question only to find yourself diving down a rabbit hole of barely relevant information? Do a few hours pass before you finally emerge into the sunlight again? If you answered yes to both questions, then my latest poem will speak to your natural inclination toward being a knowledge seeker.
Down the rabbit hole. Endless searching. Eternal exploring. One tunnel leads to another. Finding new answers Only raises new questions. I crave deep knowledge like a cat embraces curiosity. I yearn to be the expert on all topics imaginable, no matter how obscure. One day I’ll win Jeopardy! without breaking a sweat. When they invent time travel, I’ll steal a time machine and never return home. A trip through history is the greatest rabbit hole. Endless searching. Eternal exploring. Unstuck from time itself in my new forever home.
