The “working man” is now obsolete.

A thought provoking poem! Reminds me a lot about the automation of some jobs in our present. Some people have an issue with it while others don’t.

Looking forward to more!

Thank you. :)

I think when we cede parts of our life to robots or AI or whatever, we lose parts of ourselves. In the end, does that part of our life become obsolete or do we become obsolete?

With how AI is currently being used, it does feel a bit like we are loosing some sense of ourselves. Obsoletion is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

I look forward to more pieces from you! Onward to human obsoletion :D lol!

Thanks. :) I have a few more poem ideas kicking around. I'll be excited once I get rid of this right wrist tendonitis and can also complete a few stories.

Wait, oh no, I'm a clone! Your sci-fi poetry is great and it's teasing me to try and write one on Notes.

I enjoy your sci-fi poetry so much! I’m working on my next zine right now which is all time travel haiku, and your poem got me thinking about how so much of our fantasies, desires, and sci-fi literature are about escaping capitalism to get a little more me time. Great work!

Thank you. :)

My poem was inspired, in part, by my recent struggles with tendonitis and being limited in what I can do as far as writing goes. My day job is also another inspiration. So often, I feel constrained by needing to put in time as a journalist instead of devoting that time to fiction and poetry.
